We're a couple based in Atlanta who spend our days as physician assistants and our evenings planning trips we probably can't afford to take as often as we'd like, but take anyway.

what this is - and what this isn't

We got married in 2023 and spent our honeymoon at the St. Regis Rome and Borgo Santo Pietro, a working farm turned Michelin-starred retreat tucked into the hills of Tuscany. The kind of places that ruin you for ordinary hotels forever. We came home obsessed — not just with the trip, but with the idea that some experiences are so good they deserve to be written about properly. So we started Passport & Plate.

This isn't a blog full of vague recommendations and sponsored enthusiasm. We fund our own trips, and we tell you exactly what something costs because we wish someone had told us. We focus on the trips that mark something special: honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays; the occasions that deserve more than a good hotel or restaurant. We've learned that the difference between a fine trip and an unforgettable one often comes down to a single detail: the right property, the right table, the right moment. We're here to help you find those moments.

We're relatively new to the luxury travel space, which means we still remember what it felt like to book our first truly special trip — the research spiral, the uncertainty, and the "is this actually worth it?" anxiety. We research obsessively, and have been known to make dining reservations over a year in advance. We're not experts.
